Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier and Dr. Jennifer A. Doudna won the 2020 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for editing DNA. Genetic modifications has changed the way research in sciences is done
Doudna is an American biochemist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and Charpentier is a French microbiologist and the director of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens in Berlin, Germany.
This new discovery would have been impossible to do ten years ago. Genetic modifications are advancing a lot each year.
